Leaker says Apple could sell new Thunderbolt Cable for iPhone 15 Pro
Apple could offer a new “Made for iPhone” Thunderbolt Cable for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to a leaker on X, formally Twitter, who says the Thunderbolt USB-C cable could offer speeds of up to 40Gb/s, and support charging up to 150W.
According to Kosutami, the rumored Thunderbolt Cable for the iPhone will be 0.8 meters in length, compared to Apple’s existing 1.8m Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable for the iPad and Mac, which offers up to 100 watts of power delivery, and Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 4 data transfer up to 40Gb/s.
Amid the rumors, Apple researcher Majin Bu has shared images of what is said to be one of the new Thunderbolt Cables for iPhone, similarly claiming that the accessory will support power at 150W and USB 4 data transfer speeds.
Looks Apple has actually tested a Thunderbolt cable for the iPhone 15 Pro and it will probably be released exclusively for the Pro models.

It is unlikely that Apple will include the new Thunderbolt Cable for iPhone in the box of the upcoming devices given that the existing model for the iPad and Mac sells separately at $129, with the researcher saying “I don’t even know if it will be available to the public. I only know that it has been tested.”
