Apple announces US sales tax holiday lineup

Apple will be participating in this year’s US tax-free holidays, beginning in late July to early August in states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, Tennessee, and West Virginia, offering shoppers tax-free shopping on eligible products including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and accessories.
Sales tax holidays are temporary tax breaks in the United States that generally last a couple of days. They offer shoppers the chance to purchase products without sales tax, helping stimulate the economy by boosting sales during the limited tax holiday period.
Apple says eligible products vary from state to state, inviting shoppers to visit the online Apple Store, the Apple Store app, or their local brick-and-mortar Apple retail store to take part in the limited-time event.
Apple’s sales tax holiday discounts can be used in conjunction with the current educational discounts, giving students extra value for money.
Other states will also be holding sales tax holidays, including Massachusetts, New Mexico, and South Carolina, but they have yet to be added to Apple’s list.
