iPhone 14 Pro shipping estimates stretch beyond the holidays

Shoppers looking to pick up an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max for the holidays are likely to face disappointment as stock checks of Apple.com in the US show that shipping estimates have now stretched beyond Christmas, with all models now only available from December 27.
As reported by MacRumors who conducted the checks, the online Apple Store in the US has no available iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max models in stock to ship prior to Christmas, with supplies at third-party retailers also running low after Apple announced last month that its primary manufacturer was operating at a significantly reduced capacity due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
In late October, Apple said that due to the outbreak in China, production of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be lower than anticipated in the run up to the holiday shopping season, and that customers will experience longer wait times to receive their new products.
Despite the lack of availability for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, the regular iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus appear to be unaffected, with most models available for delivery without delay.
