Apple rumored to release supersized 16-inch iPad next year

Apple is reportedly working on a new supersized 16-inch iPad model that is planned to release as soon as next year, according to a new report by The Information that claims the new device will be “geared toward creative professionals such as graphic artists and designers.”
A 16-inch iPad would see a significant screen size increase over the current largest iPad, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, with the rumored new model offering the same screen size as a 16-inch MacBook Pro.
Citing a person familiar with the project, The Information claims that Apple is hoping to ship the huge new iPad in the fourth quarter of next year, further blurring the line between the iPad and MacBook, the report says.
Reports have previously suggested that Apple is exploring larger displays for the iPad, with Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman saying last year that the iPhone maker was considering new iPad designs with larger screens that would outsize the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
No further details about the supersized 16-inch iPad were shared.
