Dynamic Island rumored to come to all iPhone 15 models
Apple’s new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are now available around the world, featuring an all-new Always-On display, the first-ever 48MP camera on iPhone, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via satellite, and a new way to receive notifications and activities with the “Dynamic Island,” which replaces the notch found on previous iPhone models.
The Dynamic Island, Apple’s name for the TrueDepth camera system, blends and adapts in real-time to show alerts, notifications, and activities, using the pill-shaped cut-out at the top of the iPhone’s display and turning it into part of the core iPhone experience.
Despite the Dynamic Island being made exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max this year, reputable industry analyst Ross Young has suggested that next year, Apple could bring the Dynamic Island to all iPhone 15 models, replacing the traditional notch design altogether and bringing the Dynamic Island to every iPhone in next year’s lineup.
In a tweet on Sunday, Young said he expects the standard iPhone 15 to feature the Dynamic Island, although other display features found on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, such as ProMotion support and all-ways on displays, will remain exclusive to the high-end iPhone models in 2023.
Yes, Dynamic Island expected on standard models on the 15. Still not expecting 120Hz/LTPO on standard models as supply chain can’t support it.
