‘Apple Watch Pro’ rumored to feature 47mm case size, compared to 41mm and 45mm Apple Watch Series 7

As we near Apple’s upcoming “Far out” special event on Wednesday, September 7, where the Cupertino company is expected to announce the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2, all-new rugged Apple Watch, and more, Japanese website Mac Otakara has claimed that Apple’s forthcoming rugged Apple Watch Pro will be available in a 47mm case size, compared to the 41mm and 45mm Apple Watch Series 7 case sizes.
According to the report (via MacRumors), the new Apple Watch Pro will have the largest display ever seen on an Apple Watch, with previous rumors claiming the wearable will more shatter-resistant display, enhanced hiking and swim tracking, longer battery life and a heftier and rugged case made from a premium metal material, most likely titanium, likely replacing the Apple Watch ‘Edition’ series that was previously the most premium Apple Watch available.
On Monday, Weibo user UnclePan suggested that the rugged Apple Watch Pro won’t be compatible with existing Apple Watch accessories and will launch with its own range of compatible bands for the larger device.
The new high-end Apple Watch Pro has been rumored to cost $900 upwards, around the starting price of an iPhone 13 Pro.
