Apple rumored to release new 15-inch MacBook Air in 2023
Display Supply Chain Consultants has suggested within its latest quarterly report that Apple could release a new larger 15-inch MacBook Air in 2023, with the machine launching alongside a “slightly larger” 13-inch MacBook Air according to analyst Ross Young, who shared details from the closed-door Quarterly Advanced IT Display Shipment and Technology report.
Speaking with 9to5Mac, Young shared that within the report, DSCC claim Apple is planning a “slightly larger” screen for the entry-level iPad for launch during some point in 2023, suggesting we will see an increase to the 10.2-inch display on the current-generation model.
Apple is widely expected to be working on a redesigned version of the MacBook Air powered by a new next-gen “M2” chip. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claimed last week that the machine has been pushed back until the second half of 2022, claiming the portable computer will have an all-new design, MagSafe, a new Apple silicon chip, and more.
Leaker Jon Prosser has previously claimed that the new MacBook Air could feature a MacBook Pro-style notch, MagSafe charging, white bezels, and more.
Jon Prosser first shared his 2022 MacBook Air concepts last year which allegedly were based on information from a source with a proven track record who claimed Apple will bring “colors for average consumers” with colorful MacBook models, which will feature iMac-style white bezels, a new non-wedge design, white keyboard, and more.
