Leaked ‘iPhone 14 Pro’ schematics reveal new details about Apple’s next iPhone
After two separate renders appeared online last week claiming to offer a look at the “iPhone 14” and “iPhone 14 Pro,” today Max Weinbach has shared what he claims to be leaked schematics for the 6.1-inch “iPhone 14 Pro” and 6.7-inch “iPhone 14 Pro Max,” revealing new details about the two upcoming devices.
According to the schematics, the rear camera housing bump on both devices will protrude from the back casing, as it has done since the iPhone 11, with the drawings indicating that the housing will be larger on the 6.1-inch “iPhone 14 Pro” but smaller on the “iPhone 14 Pro Max,” compared to the current-generation iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Despite the overall look of this year’s new iPhone series expected to remain relatively similar to what we have now, the schematics backup the long line of rumors that suggest Apple will be dropping the notch from this year’s “iPhone 14 Pro” and “iPhone 14 Pro Max” by introducing new pill-shape and circular display cutouts to house the device’s Face ID components and front-facing camera module, removing the rectangular notch from the top of the iPhone’s display.
The dimensions on the drawings claim the “iPhone 14 Pro Max” will measure 77.58 mm in width, slightly smaller than the iPhone 13 Pro Max at 78.1 mm, also suggesting that the model will be marginally thinner at 160.7 mm.
It was reported in late February that trusted Apple supplier Foxconn has started trial production of the iPhone 14, suggesting the company has now finalized the design of this year’s new iPhone model and is preparing factories for mass production later this year, ahead of the device’s launch in fall.
