Apple releases macOS Monterey and watchOS 8 betas 5 to developers
Today Apple released both macOS Monterey and watchOS 8 beta 5 to developers.
Yesterday Apple released the 5th beta of iOS 15 which included a new weather icon. watchOS 8 beta 5 now introduces this new icon to the Apple Watch. Other than this, there doesn’t currently seem to be any other major changes.
There also doesn’t seem to be any major changes for macOS either. In the initial beta 5 macOS release notes, Apple claimed Universal Control had been included. The mention of this feature was then quickly pulled. Universal Control has been missing since the first beta of macOS Monterey. Maybe we’ll see it in the next version?
As of right now, beta 5 is only available to developers so public beta testers will have to wait a little longer. Both of these updates can downloaded OTA from the settings app.
