Tim Cook to attend Sun Valley Conference this week
Tim Cook is set to return to the annual Sun Valley Conference this week, joining other high-profile attendees at what is often referred to as the “summer camp for billionaires” where corporate leaders meet to make business deals at a private resort hosted by private investment firm Allen & Company.
Cook has been attending the Sun Valley Conference with Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, for the past eight years. The conference was canceled last year due to the pandemic, with it understood this year that guests will be required to present a negative PCR test result within 72 hours prior to arrival to join the elite for the event.
According to Vanity Fair, this year’s guest list includes Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, David Zaslav, Warren Buffett, Reed Hastings, Ted Sarandos, Brian Roberts, John Malone, Casey Wasserman, Diane Sawyer, Anderson Cooper, Tom Brokaw, Gayle King, Andrew Ross Sorkin, and more.
2019’s Sun Valley Conference was held prior to the launch of Apple TV+, with Apple at the time rubbing shoulders with rivals behind rival tech and media companies.
