New Apple ‘Why Mac’ webpage touts the benefits of using a Mac
Coinciding with the launch of the new M1 iMac, Apple has launched a “Why Mac” webpage that touts the various benefits of switching to the Mac.
The page boasts the Mac is “Easy to learn. Astoundingly powerful. And designed to let you work, play, and create in ways you never imagined.” Apple highlights features such as Migration Assistant, which lets users transfer settings, user accounts, and other data from your old Mac or PC, iCloud which syncs all your data from your other Apple devices, macOS and its build-in app, Notification Center, Control Center, Siri, and more.
The page also includes a heavy focus on user privacy, noting Intelligent Tracking Prevention, Touch ID on compatible models, Password Protection, Keychain, and Secure communications when using iMessage and FaceTime.
Easy to learn. Astoundingly powerful. And designed to let you work, play, and create in ways you never imagined. It’s the computer that comes packed with apps that are ready to go right out of the box. Free, regular software updates keep things up to date and running smoothly. And if you already have an iPhone, it feels familiar from the moment you turn it on.
At the bottom of the page, Apple shows “Even more reasons to love Mac,” alongside a comparison of all models and their respective prices.
