‘Items’ tab in Find My app accessible through Safari ahead of AirTags launch
With rumors pointing to Apple finally launching it’s long-awaited AirTags item trackers in the coming months, a hidden ‘Items’ tab in the Find My app, where users are expected to be able to view the location of their belongings, can now be accessed by using Safari.
As discovered by David Chu (@davidvanchu) on Twitter, via MacRumors, searching findmy://items in Safari on an iPhone will open the Find My app and show users the new ‘Items’ tab, where users will be able to pair tracking devices with their iPhone.
Users are prompted with an “Add Item” button and a message which reads: “Keep Track of Your Everyday Items. Add accessories or other items that are compatible with Find My and they will appear here.” Tapping the button will take you to a new page which initiates the pairing process.

Apple is widely rumored to be launching AirTags in March. The Tile-like trackers are expected to attach to valuables such as wallets, backpacks, keys, and more, allowing users to track their belongings in the app, which will notify users as soon as they become separated from their valuables, with the exception of when items have been left behind at a pre-defined “Safe Location”, such as at the user’s home or workplace.
Leaker Jon Prosser shared an alleged leaked pairing video earlier this month, offering what he claimed to be our first “official” look at the upcoming hardware.
