Apple to announce new wireless charger today, claims Jon Prosser
Leaker Jon Prosser has shared a final rundown on what to expect at today’s “Hi, Speed” special event, suggesting Apple will announce a new wireless charging mat alongside four new “iPhone 12” models and the long-rumored “HomePod mini.”
Although the details are vague, Prosser claims a new “Wireless charger” will make an appearance today, collaborating on earlier claims from respected sources such as Ming-Chi Kuo, who have reported that Apple will announce a single-device wireless charging mat in light of its high-profile AirPower flop.
The rumored new wireless charging mat is expected to charge one device at a time and feature a magnetic center to perfectly align with the iPhone 12, which leaks have shown will use a new circular array of magnets that are expected to shift the iPhone into position when placed onto the new Apple wireless charger.
