Apple removes Beats webpage from online store ahead of Tuesday’s special event

Apple has pulled the “Beats by Dre” webpage from its online store ahead of tomorrow’s “Hi, Speed” special event, expected to see the launch of the iPhone 12 alongside new over-ear AirPods Studio headphones, smaller HomePod mini, and more.
Apple acquired Beats in 2014, with rumors recently claiming that Apple plans to phase out the brand in favour of its AirPods line, which is set to grow significantly with new products, such as the rumored over-ear AirPods Studio headphones, to replace the current Beats range.
Spotted by Apple Terminal, Apple updated its online store at some point from October 2 to remove the “Beats by Dre” landing page from view, making Beats less visible on the store. Unlike before, when Apple showed a page promoting the range, Beats products are now visible only when selecting the Music Accessories tab on the online Apple Store.
Rumors have pointed to Apple’s upcoming AirPods Studio headphones not shipping until later in the year, although Apple could still announce the new over-ear wearables tomorrow on-stage alongside its other product updates.
Reports from Bloomberg have suggested Apple will release two versions of its new headphones: a high-end model with “leather-like fabrics” and a “fitness-focused” model designed to be worn comfortably during workouts.
