Apple seemingly updates Siri in Germany, delivering on promise made in 2017

Apple may have just released its long-awaited update to Siri in Germany, with users suddenly noticing more natural sounding responses from the virtual assistant, especially on HomePod.
According to German site iphone-ticker.de, “Almost three years after Apple’s software boss Craig Federighi announced during the launch of iOS 11 that the in-house voice assistant Siri would sound significantly more human,” says the site, “Apple now seems to delight German users with new Siri voices.”
Users are describing the new German Siri voice as more fluid and natural, but also “overly friendly with a slightly higher pitch”, the site says.
The update follows after Apple revised Siri’s voice globally in 2017 with the release of iOS 11.
