iOS 14 leak offers details on upcoming ‘iPhone SE 2’ and new iPad Pro
Discoveries made within iOS 14 code snippets obtained by 9to5Mac claim to confirm details for Apple’s upcoming low-cost iPhone SE predecessor and updated iPad Pro.
As previously rumored, the snippets seemingly confirm Apple will introduce an iPhone 11 Pro-style triple-lens camera array to the iPad Pro, comprising of a time-of-flight 3D sensor, a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens.
The forthcoming low-cost iPhone, dubbed the “iPhone SE 2” will support Touch ID as well as Express Transit capabilities, according to 9to5Mac, with the device being targeted as a replacement for iPhone 6 users, although this information, with the exception of the Express Transit insight, isn’t new.
Apple is said to be releasing iOS 13.4 alongside the “iPhone SE 2”.
Additionally, the snippets reference Apple’s new “AirTags” item trackers, suggesting users will be able to be set up in bulk through iOS and that there will be a user-replaceable battery, much like Tile item trackers.
