Apple sending ‘iPhone SE 2’ into production in February, launching in March
Apple will send its low-cost ‘iPhone SE 2’ into production in February ahead of its launch scheduled for March, according to a report from Bloomberg.
The device is said to feature a similar design to the iPhone 8, boasting a 4.7-inch LCD display, chunky top and bottom bezels, a Touch ID Home button and a single-lens rear camera with Apple’s A13 chip and 3GB RAM.
Rumors have suggested Apple may call the ‘iPhone SE 2’ the ‘iPhone 9’, with the source saying the iPhone 9 name seems more fitting for the device considering it will inherit the design of the iPhone 8 and won’t have a 4-inch display like the original iPhone SE.
Pricing for the device remains unknown, but previously it has been said Apple will start pricing at $399, available in 64 GB and 128 GB storage configurations with three color options: silver, space gray and red.
Bloomberg’s report matches with earlier ones we have seen which claim the device will arrive at the end of March.
