iPhone 11 and 11 Pro pre-orders expected for September 13
Now that Apple has announced its “By Innovation Only” event, we’re moving on to when the new devices will be up for pre-order. According to new reports, potential buyers won’t have to wait very long after the event to pre-order Apple’s latest hardware.
Unlike last year, pre-orders for new hardware are expected to begin September 13, just three days after the keynote. In-store availability will then follow the next week starting on Friday, September 20. These last few years have been a little crazy in terms of pre-orders. In 2017 the iPhone X had a staggered launch and didn’t go up for pre-order for at least a couple weeks after its initial unveiling. The same case can be made for the XR that ended up launching in October of last year after it’s September debut.
The report’s source claims to be an employee working at a “major carrier” that has received internal communication about pre-order dates. This is all the information known so far, but either way it’s good news for consumers for all three models to go on sale simultaneously.
