Apple tweeting special WWDC reminders from @Apple Twitter handle
With less than a week to go until Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference, the official @Apple Twitter handle has tweeted a special reminder promoting the event, with users who retweet receiving a special thank you, and the promise of a reminder on Monday before the event starts.
The tweets shared by Apple are rather mysterious, with them not appearing on the @Apple timeline. Nicknamed ‘Dark Tweets’, the invisible updates aren’t an advertising service Twitter offers to the public, hinting Apple has developed a special partnership to allow for such advertisements to be sent.
To receive a special tweet from Apple, Twitter users simply need to retweet the message below. Apple will send a second tweet to those who received the first auto-reply prior to the event ‘so you’ll stay in the know.’
June 4 at 10 a.m. PDT.

‘Dark Tweets’ have been used previously by Apple to promote WWDC in 2017.
