Apple Intelligence can search and summarize Home security camera footage

Apple is bringing Apple Intelligence to home security footage, with new Home Collection cameras able to generate video summaries and respond to natural-language searches.
The features work with eligible iCloud+ plans and compatible Apple hardware, letting users search recordings using descriptive phrases rather than manually scrubbing through clips.
According to Apple, Apple Intelligence can also automatically describe what is happening in recorded camera events.
Apple Home camera footage stays end-to-end encrypted
Apple says camera footage and personal data in the Home app remain end-to-end encrypted and are not accessible to LG Electronics, Schneider Electric or Apple.
Footage can be processed locally on a compatible Apple home hub or through Private Cloud Compute. Eligible iCloud+ subscribers receive 10 days of encrypted event history.
The features require setup using an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, an eligible iCloud+ plan and a compatible home hub such as HomeView, HomePod or Apple TV 4K.
The capability arrives alongside four new LG cameras in Apple Home Collection, including indoor, outdoor, floodlight and video doorbell models.
