Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at $799 with September 18 release date

Apple Watch Ultra 4 will start at $799 in the United States, with Apple opening pre-orders today ahead of the watch arriving in stores on Friday, September 18.

The new model remains available in natural and black titanium, maintaining the two finishes offered with the previous generation while introducing significant changes to health sensing, performance and battery life.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 is available to pre-order across more than 50 countries and regions, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan and the UAE.

The $799 starting price gets buyers Apple’s new S11 chip and Health Sensing System, which measures heart rate every five seconds and collects heart-rate variability data up to 24 times more frequently.

Battery life increases to as much as 50 hours during normal use or 84 hours with Low Power Mode enabled. Apple has also introduced a Max Extended Workout mode capable of tracking some outdoor workouts for up to 45 hours.

Apple is refreshing its Ultra band range alongside the watch. Trail Loop is available in dark umber, sand and burgundy, while Alpine Loop comes in desert, dark olive and burgundy.

The Ocean Band has undergone a material change and is now made from translucent silicone, with translucent gray, translucent kelp and translucent black finishes.

Apple is also continuing its Hermès Ultra collaboration, introducing a new Grand H titanium band with an extension mechanism that can adjust the band to fit over a wetsuit.

watchOS 27 will be released on Monday, September 14 for Apple Watch Series 9 and later, Apple Watch SE 3 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later. Apple Intelligence support also begins rolling out on the same day for compatible devices and languages.
