Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $399 with September 18 release date

Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $399 in the United States, with pre-orders open today and availability beginning Friday, September 18.
Apple is offering the new model in 42mm and 46mm sizes, with aluminum, titanium and ceramic configurations making up the expanded Series 12 lineup.
Aluminum finishes include dark bronze, black, light gold and space gray, while titanium models come in radiant gold and natural titanium. Apple is also bringing ceramic back in pearl white and night blue.
The Apple Post reported ahead of the event that ceramic could return with Apple Watch Series 12, and Apple has now confirmed two ceramic finishes for the new lineup.
Series 12 introduces Apple’s new Health Sensing System and S11 chip, with heart-rate measurements every five seconds, more frequent heart-rate variability readings and a new Readiness score that combines health, sleep and activity data.
Apple has also improved outdoor workout battery life and charging speed. The watch offers up to 10 hours during an outdoor workout, while a 15-minute charge can provide up to 12 additional hours of battery life.
As confirmed by Apple, pre-orders are available in the U.S., UK and more than 50 other countries and regions today, ahead of the September 18 launch.
