Mark Gurman reveals expected iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo colors hours before Apple event

With only hours remaining before Apple takes the wraps off its next generation of iPhones, a last-minute report has provided what may be the clearest indication yet of the colors buyers will be able to choose from.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says he expects the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max to be offered in four finishes: black, light blue, silver and burgundy. If accurate, the lineup would see Apple restore a black option to its Pro range after the iPhone 17 Pro was offered in Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue and Silver.
The burgundy finish is likely to be the standout addition. Previous leaks have variously referred to the color as Dark Cherry, dark red or burgundy, while light blue has also appeared repeatedly in reports and alleged dummy units ahead of today’s announcement.
Gurman has also narrowed down the color choices for Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The device, which he reports will be called the iPhone Duo, is expected to launch in just two finishes: dark blue and white.
Those more restrained options would give the Duo a noticeably smaller color selection than the Pro models, although Apple may be positioning the first-generation foldable as an especially premium device rather than offering the broader palette associated with its mainstream iPhones.
The latest information follows months of conflicting leaks surrounding Apple’s 2026 colors. Some earlier reports suggested the iPhone 18 Pro could arrive without either black or silver, while others pointed to three rather than four finishes. Gurman’s prediction, arriving just hours before Apple’s presentation, suggests both neutral colors have ultimately made the final lineup.
The Apple Post has been following the final wave of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo leaks ahead of today’s event, including reports surrounding the foldable model’s expected $2,000 starting price, Apple Pencil support and October availability.
Apple is expected to officially reveal the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo during its “Surprise and shine” event today, when the final names, finishes, prices and release dates should be confirmed.
