How to reduce Home app notifications in iOS 27

A busy smart home can generate several alerts for what is really one event. iOS 27 uses Apple Intelligence to understand related Home activities and combine them into a single notification that updates as the event develops.
For example, separate alerts involving somebody arriving home, opening a door and completing another related action can be presented as one more useful notification rather than a stack of individual alerts.
The feature appears in the Home app’s Apple Intelligence settings and requires compatible hardware and services.
How to turn on Reduce Notifications in the Home app
- Open the Home app on your iPhone.
- Open your Home settings.
- Find the Apple Intelligence section.
- Turn on Reduce Notifications.
- Review your existing accessory and camera notification settings to make sure the devices you care about are still allowed to send alerts.
Once enabled, iOS can combine related smart-home activity into an alert that updates in real time instead of repeatedly notifying you about closely connected events.
