How to use the new paste shortcut on iPhone with iOS 27

Copying information between apps is quicker in iOS 27 thanks to a new paste shortcut that appears when your iPhone detects content waiting on the clipboard.
After you copy text, a link, photo or other supported content, iOS can surface a paste control above the keyboard when you move to another text field.
This removes the need to press and hold inside the text field and find Paste in the editing menu each time you move information between apps.
How to use the paste shortcut in iOS 27
- Select the text, link, photo or other supported content you want to copy.
- Tap Copy.
- Open the app where you want to paste the content.
- Tap the relevant text field so the keyboard appears.
- Look for the Paste shortcut above the keyboard.
- Tap the shortcut to insert the copied content.
The shortcut appears when iOS recognizes that you have recently copied something that can be pasted into the field you are using.
