Apple launches Creator Studio subscription with pro apps for Mac, iPad and iPhone

Apple has announced a new subscription service called Apple Creator Studio, bringing a suite of professional creative apps to users across the Mac, iPad and iPhone.
The bundle includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro, alongside premium features for Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform. Apple says the collection is designed to give “studio-grade power” to creators working in video, music, imaging and digital productivity.
Creator Studio launches on January 28 and will cost $12.99 per month or $129 per year. A one-month free trial will be available, and students can subscribe for $2.99 per month.
Apple says the subscription expands the tools already used by millions of creators, adding new intelligent features powered by on-device machine learning. Apple emphasised that user privacy remains protected, with processing done through its own hardware and systems.
Final Cut Pro receives upgraded video tools on Mac and iPad, including Transcript Search to scan footage for spoken words, Beat Detection to align edits to music, and Montage Maker on iPad to automatically assemble clips using AI.
Music-making app Logic Pro introduces new features such as Synth Player and Chord ID, designed to support songwriting, remixing and beat production with AI-supported workflows. Users can switch between Mac and iPad projects, and access a new library of loops and samples.
Pixelmator Pro joins the iPad for the first time, bringing touch-optimised editing, Apple Pencil support and desktop-class tools such as layer controls, masks and AI-based upscaling.
Creator Studio also unlocks advanced tools and content inside Apple’s productivity apps. Users gain access to a new Content Hub of curated media, premium templates, presentation-building features and image creation powered by generative AI.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers remain free for all users, and Apple says they will continue receiving updates, including the new design language rolling out with iPadOS 26.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said Creator Studio provides “a great value” for creators at all levels.
“There’s never been a more flexible and accessible way to get started,” he said. “Creator Studio gives professionals, emerging artists, students and educators the ability to do their best work from start to finish.”
Creator Studio supports Family Sharing for up to six people. One-time purchases of the individual pro apps remain available through the Mac App Store.
