iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to be manufactured in India, report claims

Apple is set to manufacture its premium iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models in India for the first time, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the country’s manufacturing sector. Traditionally, Apple has reserved the production of its Pro models for facilities in China, making this a notable shift in its manufacturing strategy.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, Foxconn Technology Group, a key Apple partner, is gearing up to assemble the new flagship devices within weeks of their global launch this fall. The production will take place in Foxconn’s factory located in Tamil Nadu, where thousands of workers are being trained to ensure the devices are ready as close to the global debut as possible, the report claims.
The upcoming iPhone 16 series is expected to carry forward the design language of the iPhone 15 lineup, with some notable enhancements. Among these is a new capacitive side button designed for capturing photos and videos. Additionally, the Pro models are rumored to feature slightly larger displays, with the iPhone 16 Pro offering a 6.3-inch screen and the Pro Max sporting a 6.9-inch screen, making them the largest iPhones to date.
