Apple lowers price of entry-level iPad to $349, ninth-generation iPad discontinued
Following the introduction of Apple’s redesigned 11″ iPad Air and all-new 13″ model with M2, and the launch of the OLED iPad Pro with M4, Apple has lowered the price of the entry-level iPad to $349 while discontinuing the ninth-generation iPad for a more simplified lineup.
Beginning today, the 10th-generation iPad now starts at $349, down from $449. First launched in 2022, the model features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, the Apple A14 Bionic chip, a landscape camera, USB-C, support for the Magic Keyboard Folio, and more in four colors.
The iPad features an all-screen design in four finishes — blue, pink, yellow, and silver. The 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display extends to the edges, so users have more screen area for apps on iPad — all in nearly the same size as the previous generation. The Liquid Retina display offers a 2360×1640-pixel resolution, nearly 4 million pixels, 500 nits of brightness, and True Tone technology.
The entry-level iPad 10th-generation iPad is powered by the A14 Bionic chip introduced with the iPhone 12. The device boasts an Ultra Wide 12MP front camera located along the landscape edge of iPad better video calling, and an updated 12MP back camera to capture photos and 4K video.
