New iPad Air and iPad Pro models coming early next year, says Gurman

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has reported that Apple is preparing four new iPad models for launch during the first few months of 2024, claiming that new iPad Air and iPad Pro models will be unveiled along with a new Apple Pencil and new Magic Keyboards.
According to Gurman, Apple is planning to launch the iPad Air in two sizes for the first time. The lineup will include the current 10.9-inch display option alongside a larger 12.9-inch option, which will match the size of the current largest iPad, the iPad Pro.
The iPad Pro lineup will allegedly adopt the M3 chip announced recently with the launch of the 2024 iMac and MacBook Pro, with Gurman saying that the devices will feature OLED displays, a first for the iPad.
OLED displays have long been rumored to be coming to the iPad. In general, OLED displays offer a better viewing experience over LED thanks to several advantages in display quality including a larger color range and high contrast levels, better handling of darkness and lighting precision, and fast response times.
It is understood that the new 2024 iPad Air models will retain the same overall design as the current model, with the next upgrade likely offering minor improvements over the existing version asides from the new display size option.
