Apple says iOS 16.5 and watchOS 9.5 will be released next week

Apple has today confirmed that both iOS 16.5 and watchOS 9.5 will be released next week, bringing several new features to iPhone and Apple Watch.
iOS 16.5 will include a new Pride Celebration wallpaper for the Lock Screen to honor the LGBTQ+ community and culture, a new Sports tab in the Apple News app to give easy access to stories, scores, standings, and more, for the teams and leagues users follow, and new My Sports score and schedule cards in Apple News app that take users to game pages where they can find additional details about specific games.
iOS 16.5 also includes bug fixes, such as a fixes for an issue where Spotlight may become unresponsive, a fix for an issue where Screen Time settings may reset or not sync across all devices, and updates to address an issue where Podcasts in CarPlay may not load content.
watchOS 9.5 is a minor update for Apple Watch, bringing a new beta installation method for those who are enrolled in Apple’s Developer Program or who use the public beta testing option, as well as Apple’s new Pride Celebration watch face.
