iPhone 14 Pro wins DisplayMate’s ‘Best Smartphone Display Award’
Apple has won DisplayMate‘s “Best Smartphone Display Award” with an A+ Display Performance grade for the iPhone 14 Pro’s Super Retina XDR display, dethroning the iPhone 13 Pro Max as the previous award winner in the category.
Awarded for winning a multitude of accreditations, including highest absolute color accuracy, highest peak display brightness, and highest full screen brightness for OLED smartphones, DisplayMate says the iPhone 14 Pro display is “visually indistinguishable from perfect,” offering “uniformly consistent top tier display performance” across various display tests.
Apple announced the iPhone 14 Pro earlier this month, featuring an all-new Always-On display, the first-ever 48MP camera on iPhone, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via satellite, and a new way to receive notifications and activities with the “Dynamic Island,” which replaces the notch found on previous iPhone models.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max display outputs 1,600 nits peak brightness (HDR) and 2,000 nits peak brightness outdoors.
