Apple reportedly planning new 15-inch MacBook Air for launch in 2023
Hot on the heels of Apple announcing its all-new 13.6-inch M2 MacBook Air at WWDC on Monday, Bloomberg is out with a new report claiming the iPhone maker is working on a new, larger 15-inch MacBook Air that could be released as early as next spring.
The report suggests that alongside the rumored new 15-inch MacBook Air, Apple is working on a smaller 12-inch MacBook, hinting at the return of the discontinued MacBook series that Apple abandoned with the discontinuation of the 12-inch Retina MacBook in 2019.
Bloomberg suggests that the new 15-inch MacBook Air will keep the same design as Apple’s newly announced M2 MacBook Air which drops the traditional MacBook Air wedge-shape look for something more similar to the flat edges of the 2021 MacBook Pro, featuring four finishes — silver, space gray, midnight, and starlight, MagSafe charging, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, four-speaker sound system, up to 18 hours of battery life, and more.
The new MacBook Air. Supercharged by M2. With an impossibly thin design. All-day battery life*. And a stunning 13.6” Liquid Retina display. Don’t take it lightly. Coming next month. *Battery life varies by use.
