Apple has also introduced the M1 Max chip. It doubles the memory interface of the Pro chip, allowing 6x the power then the original M1 chip released a year ago. It boasts the biggest amount of power in a chip Apple has created.
They offer almost twice the amount of power of 8 core PC chips, but with 70% less power, a breakthrough in chip performance.
macOS Monterey has been built with these chips in mind, with features like instant wake and more being much faster with the new Pro and Max chips. The chips offer 20x faster machine learning and more.
