Apple pushes revised firmware version for AirTags
Apple released a firmware update for AirTags last week, updating the tracking accessory following its last firmware update in June when the company reduced the length of time it took for people to be notified when an unknown AirTag was traveling with them.
It’s not known exactly what changes last week’s new firmware version brought, but Apple today is rolling out another AirTag firmware update, this time with the new internal build number of 1A291c, up from 1A291a.
With June’s update, Apple announced it was developing a new Android app that would let non-iPhone users detect an unknown AirTag or any other accessory connected to the Find My network that happens to be traveling with them. It’s not been confirmed exactly what changes the new firmware version brings, but the update may contain further anti-stalking features and changes to how soon users are notified if their iPhone detects a mysterious AirTag with them.
