New iPad mini expected during the second half of the year, according to analyst
Respected TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reported that Apple’s rumored new sixth-generation iPad mini will launch during the second half of the year.
In a research note outlining how Apple is expected to launch its first foldable iPhone in 2023, Kuo reports that the launch of the new 2021 iPad Pro mixed with the current global demand for iPad, driven by increased at home working, will help deliver strong iPad sales throughout the year, with the new iPad mini expected to further strengthen sales.
Reports have suggested that Apple’s next iPad mini will feature an increased display, up from 7.9-inches on the current iPad mini to 8.4-inches.
It is understood that the device will have slimmer bezels and will look similar to the iPad Air 3, featuring Touch ID and a Lightning Port. The new device will also likely have a faster A-series chip for improved performance, ensuring the device continues to run future versions of iPadOS for years to come.
