Q2 2021 Services revenue of $16.9 billion sets all-time record high for Apple
Apple’s ever-growing Services business has set an all-time record high in Q2 2021, with the company reporting revenue of $16.9 billion, up 27 percent from the $13.4 billion in revenue services posted in the year-ago quarter.
The quarter, covering the months of January, February, and March, saw Apple report record revenue of $89.6 billion, up 54 percent year over year, and an all-time record for Mac and a staggering 87.5% earnings growth in Greater China from this time last year.
The Services business, which includes Apple Music, the App Store, Apple News+, iCloud, AppleCare, Apple TV+, and more now have a reported 660-million paying customers, an increase of 40 million paid subscribers, up 145 million from a year ago, and 2x what the iPhone maker had 2.5 years ago.
Apple announced last week at its “Spring Loaded” special event that it will continue the expansion of its Services with new Apple Podcast Subscriptions, which are set to be released in the coming weeks.
