New iPad Pro coming in March with mini-LED display, claims report
Apple is expected to release updated iPad Pro models in March, featuring new mini-LED displays, according to several reports, with the most recent coming from Japanese site Mac Otakara who have shared some additional information about the new devices.
It is understood that the design of both devices will remain the same as the current-generation models, however the new mini-LED display technology could make the largest 12.9-inch 2021 iPad Pro slightly thicker than its predecessor, with Mac Otakara suggesting the model will see an increase of about 0.5 mm in thickness.
The site also claims that the rear cameras on the new iPad Pros will protrude less, although the overall camera bump will remain as it is now.
As expected, the new mini-LED display will likely be the flagship feature of this iPad Pro iteration. The display technology will offer the same quality as OLED but consume less power.
Mac Otakara also believe that the new iPads will have updated speakers, with the overall number of speaker holes on the sides reduced by two-thirds, the report claims.
