HomePod mini available to order now

Apple is now accepting orders for its new $99 HomePod mini through the Apple Store app and online at Apple.com, with availability beginning the week of November 16.
HomePod mini is a smaller version of Apple’s first-generation HomePod. Standing at 3.3 inches tall, the speaker is touted as offering “breakthrough audio quality” wherever it is placed, with Siri allowing users to control their music, send messages, make calls, get directions, check the weather, set alarms, timers, and more with their voice.
Apple announced the new HomePod mini last month alongside the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. The speaker is available in white and space gray, like the first-generation HomePod, and is launching initially in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Spain, the UK, and the US.

Apple says it will expand HomePod mini’s availability to China, Mexico, and Taiwan later this year.

New with the HomePod mini is Intercom, a feature that allows users to pair HomePods around the home and air intercom messages. The Intercom feature also works with iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and CarPlay, so messages can be received when out and about.
