Apple TV+ audio issues affecting new ‘Greyhound’ movie
Apple TV+ subscribers have noticed an audio sync issue when playing “Greyhound,” the WWII battleship movie starring Tom Hanks.
Following the film’s release on Friday, users have noticed an audio bug roughly an hour into the movie that causes the voices in the film to be out of sync at the 58 minute mark, before the film rectifies itself a short time after.
In “Greyhound,” Hanks plays the role of George Krause, an officer given command of a Navy destroyer Greyhound during the Battle of the Atlantic. The films shows Krause battle fight with his own self doubts and personal demons along with the enemy to prove that he belongs in command.
Hanks was in the news recently for calling the film’s release on Apple TV+ an “absolute heartbreak,” adding that he felt “the cruel whipmasters at Apple” made him feel like he was part of “a witness protection program” during a recorded media interview.
The issue doesn’t appear to be affecting all subscribers, with it so far unclear if only particular devices are causing the issue.
