Apple suspends ‘Today at Apple’ sessions in Italy over coronavirus fears
Apple has announced that the company is suspending “Today at Apple” sessions at all of its Apple Stores in Italy, presumably out of caution over coronavirus fears.
The news comes after a leaked internal memo revealed that the company was suspending all non-critical employee travel to Italy, and that Apple’s regional webpage showed some retail locations had been closed, likely on the advice of the country’s health officials.
Italy has 4,000 reported cases of coronavirus. Schools have been closed and large gatherings have been cancelled in an effort to stop the spread of the outbreak.
In addition to Italy, Apple has cancelled upcoming Today at Apple sessions in China and Hong Kong, reports iMore.
