Apple extends duration of ‘limited time’ iPhone XS/XR trade-in offer in Japan
Apple has quietly extended the duration of its ‘limited time’ iPhone trade-in offer in Japan, giving customers until February 28th to trade-in their old iPhone at an Apple Store in the country to get an iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max or iPhone XR at a discount.
First spotted by Arigato-iPod, the terms and conditions for the offer have quietly been updated to reflect the new extended duration, giving it a boost from its original finishing date of January 31 – offering an extra month for prospective upgrades to take advantage of the trade-in discounts.
Apple has yet to extend the duration of its trade-in offer in the other participating regions around the world such as the United States and United Kingdom, although interestingly, in the United States, there is no end date listed at all for the trade-in offer — as has been the case throughout the promotion, notes Cult of Mac.
Assuming the new lengthened scheme is continued elsewhere, the program would have been running for at least three months in the majority of countries.
