Apple possibly launching new iPad mini next week at October event
Ex-KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, dubbed the “best Apple analyst on the planet” by many has shared his final predictions on what we can expect from Apple’s highly anticipated ‘There’s more in the making.’ event, claiming Apple may update its ageing iPad mini with “an upgraded processor and a lower-cost panel”.
Although the new iPad mini (iPad mini 5th generation) isn’t expected to feature Face ID or come with much of a hardware redesign, this would be the first time Apple has updated the ageing tablet in years.
The report notes that while the new iPad mini may be revealed next Tuesday alongside Apple’s redesigned Face ID equipped iPad Pro models, the launch of the tablet may get pushed back to early 2019. – It’s unclear if Apple will announce the model next week, and say it is coming next year, or if the company will keep quiet about the new device until closer to its supposed launch date.
Within this report, Ming-Chi Kuo expects Apple will unveil at least three new Macs including a “low-price” MacBook, and updated Mac mini and iMac with new processors. His report also claims Apple may finally discuss AirPower, announcing a release date for either late 2018 or early 2019.
