Apple’s TV app begins to rollout across UK, France & Germany
Update: Turning your device on and off again installs the TV app on iPhone and iPad.
Following updates to BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, My5 and Amazon Prime Video, Apple has today started rolling out the TV app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV across France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Users running iOS 11.2 and/or tvOS 11.2 will see their devices automatically update, replacing the Videos app and acting as a hub for users to access their favourite streaming services in one place.
The TV app has been available elsewhere for quite some time, with Apple announcing in September that the service would expand by the end of the year to Canada, Australia Germany, France, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom.
The Apple TV app lets you browse content from over 60 video services without switching from one app to the next. You’ll find movies and shows. Handpicked recommendations. And live sports.
Apple has built the Apple TV so that it works across your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. For example, you could pause a movie you are watching at home on your iPad and pick it up later on your iPhone.
