British Airways partners with Apple to showcase the power of iOS in business
Serving 40 million passengers and traveling to more than 200 destinations each year, British Airways is the UK’s largest airline, with a prestigious reputation for their high level of customer service and attention to detail.
British Airways has partnered with Apple to showcase the power of iOS in business, with the airline having their own webpage on Apple’s website alongside three feature films showing how the company deploys iPads and iOS throughout their operations, either that be in-flight or at their cargo facilities.
Explained within the films and detailed upon the new webpage, British Airways uses five key iOS applications in their day to day business…
- FlightReact | “The custom FlightReact app allows for quick rebooking and reticketing of a flight during a period of disruption.”
- FlightInfo | “The custom FlightInfo app provides real-time data on every British Airways flight, as well as codeshare flights.”
- iTranslate | “The iTranslate app from the App Store provides real-time speech recognition and translation services in a wide variety of languages.”
- iBanner | “The iBanner app turns iPad into a digital sign displaying flight information so passengers can be located and instructed to board.”
- BagReport | “BagReport is a custom app that helps British Airways staff proactively advise passengers of misplaced luggage.”
Apple on Wednesday announced a new partnership with services firm, Deloitte, which shall further see Apple’s enterprise business expand.
Paul Biggs, Turnaround Manager for British Airways says that… “You go out there to make a difference. With iPad and iOS, we can get the aircraft inspected and airborne quicker than ever before.”
With Abigail Comber, Head of Customer adding, “The iOS apps we have on iPad have transformed the way we work. It has been a seamless transformation and we build on it every single day.”
