Reports claim this year’s iPhones will still include Lightning headphone adapter
According to Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis and his associates, Apple will continue to include Lightning to 3.5mm adapter in the box of next year’s iPhone. This newest report contradicts a report from Mac Otakara back in February claiming the newest additions to the iPhone line won’t ship with a wireless charger, USB-C cable or a Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter.
“We believe [the adapter] stays this year but goes away at some point, potentially in the 2018 model,” reads the research note.
Currently Apple bundles the adapter with every iPhone 7 purchase, but also sells the tiny adapter online for $9.
