Images claim to show iPhone 8 units leaving Apple factories in China
With the launch of Apple’s highly anticipated 10th anniversary handset just around the corner, new images claim to show iPhone 8 units leaving one of Apple’s factories in Zhengzhou, China, via California-based logistics firm Morrison Express.
While the blurry images don’t give us a look at the devices themselves, the paperwork on the pallets appear to show that the cargo is preparing to be flown to the United States via an expedited delivery service, meaning that it’s likely the handsets shown will be hitting store shelves not long after their grand reveal on Tuesday.
Although the images can’t be verified, it’s believed they were taken just as employees at Foxconn’s Zhengzhou production plant were packaging the top secret shipment, first spotlighted by Techtastic.nl. The iPhone 8 is most certainly building itself up to be one of the most anticipated iPhone releases of all time. According to leaked dimensions coming from sources within Apple’s supply chain, it appears that the iPhone 8 will be smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, yet larger than the iPhone 7, closely matching Samsung with the Galaxy S8.
It’s believed this year’s iPhone release will see Apple introduce an all new device featuring a 5.8-inch display which will feature a “Function Area” that will be home to Apple’s virtual Home button that will support Touch ID through a fingerprint scanner embedded directly into the display.
