Apple has unveiled new MacBook Pro models alongside a new “TV” app for iOS and tvOS
As expected, Apple has unveiled new MacBook Pro hardware at their “hello again” Keynote; with the company releasing products 6.8 million times faster than the PowerBook that was introduced 25 years ago.
The star of the show, which The Apple Post has been reporting about for months, is the Touch ID equipped Touch Bar found on the new notebook, which is open to developers to implement into apps using Apple’s new hardware. The new design of the MacBook Pro is all metal, like the 12-inch MacBook, and is available in space grey and silver. Boasting USB-C ports, a 2nd-generation butterfly keyboard mechanism and much more; Apple’s new MacBook Pro also comes with a rather large price tag, with Apple offering a cheaper model without the Touch Bar, as detailed below.
Running on 8GB of RAM on both 13-inch MacBook Pro models, with and without Touch Bar; the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar offers users 16GB of RAM with a shared 256GB SSD across all three models. The new MacBook Pro is 14.9mm thin, 17% thinner than the previous generation model, supported by a 6th-gen Intel dual-core processor and Intel Iris Graphics 540 w/ eDRAM.

The new hardware is available to order from their online store, with shipping beginning between 3-4 weeks, with some stores stocking the hardware as of now.
Alongside the new MacBook Pro line, Apple has also introduced a new cross platform application called “TV” which aggregates TV shows from video content apps to build an interactive TV guide. Launching in the United States by the end of the year, the app which shall be available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and of course Apple TV will only show content such as TV shows and movies based on subscriptions that the user has joined, by searching the streaming apps, either they be Starz or Hulu and offer suggestions based on the users viewing habits. – Netflix and Amazon Prime Video won’t be supported, with the two streaming companies pulling out.
