Apple no longer offers three-month free trial of Apple Music in Australia, Spain or Switzerland
According to MacRumours, Apple has ditched the three-month trial of Apple Music that is offered to new subscribers of their home-grown music streaming service in Australia, Spain, and Switzerland, with Apple now charging a small fee (around $0.99/£0.99) to test out the service for a three month period.
Apple Music has always enticed new subscribers with the incentive of three-months free music streaming since the service launched in June 2015 and has been applicable to the 100 countries Apple Music serves. It’s so far unclear if the new trial fee will roll-out across the world and if so, when.
As seen below, Apple has updated their pages in Australia, Spain, and Switzerland to reflect the change, with archives of Apple.com showing the new three-month trial was introduced no earlier than 14th May. Apple Music rival Spotify’s three-month trial also costs 99 cents in Australia, 0,99 € in Spain, and Fr. 0.99 in Switzerland.
