Apple releases iOS 10.2 beta 2, bringing the new “TV” app, SOS calling and more
Ahead of the public roll out, Apple today has released iOS 10.2 beta 2, bringing a variety of features to beta testers including the new “TV” app which was announced at Apple’s “hello again”, MacBook Pro event as well as porting over the once Apple Watch exclusive SOS calling feature and changes to the Music application.
Launching in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, Spain, UK, and US; SOS shall be available to users when pressing the power button on the iPhone five times in a row and can be turned on and off under settings.
In iOS 10.2 beta 1, Apple added a handful of new features including the following…
- Three new iOS wallpapers
- New emoji characters
- New ‘Celebration’ Messages screen effect
- Widget for the Videos app
- Preserve Camera setting
- ‘Show Star Ratings’ option under the Music settings
