Apple has released four new Christmas focused commercials for the Apple Watch Series 2
In the run-up to the holidays, Apple has released four new Apple watch Series 2 commercials airing across TV and social media, with each 10-15 second video being shot from a first-persons perspective of unboxing an Apple Watch. The commercials, “Go Out”, “Go Play”, “Go Run” and “Go Dance”, are part of Apple’s push to increase sales of what Tim Cook describes as one of the most popular holiday gifts this year.
Go Out
“Go Out” demonstrates the Apple Watch’s water resistance capabilities, showing a frantic rush through the rain to arrive to a date on time. Included in the commercial, Apple also gives Apple Pay a moment in the spotlight, with the Apple Watch user quickly scanning his wrist while paying for a bouquet of flowers.
Go Dance
Apple’s shortest commercial, “Go Dance”, only has 10 seconds of airtime; with Apple showing a user unboxing their device before arriving at a dance studio to work out with friends.
Go Run
Showing a user quickly running across town with the help of the Nike+ Run Club app, “Go Run” is the only commercial out of the four to show the special edition Apple Watch Nike+. Greeted with the watch prompting “Are we running today?”, the runner can be seen pushing through the hustle and bustle of the city to achieve his workout goal.
Go Play
And finally, featuring what appears to be a Product (RED) Apple Watch strap, “Go Play” shows a woman taking her newly unboxed Apple wearable out for a game of street football, with the watch’s activity tracker showing her progress for the session.
